User ID Database

The RT73 has the ability to hold up to 200,000 records of the DMR User DB.

The radio is able to display the Call Sign of the station being received up to 9 characters. To start you need to download a current User Database file.
These files are available from the following User DB Sources.

-  The downloaded database must be in .csv format.
-  The first line is the 'Field Name' line. The software ignores the data in this line, but it must be there with something typed in each of the 6 fields. (see the example below).

-  Column 1 - DMR User ID list (must be sequenced low to high)
-  Column 2 - Call Sign
-  Column 3 - Name
-  Column 4 - City
-  Column 5 - State
-  Column 6 - Country/Region

The next step is to upload the file to the radio.
This is done by selecting Contacts / Ham Contacts from the menu on the left of the RT73 software.

-  Select 'Import' at the top of the screen and direct it to your new .csv data file.  This will display the data image to be loaded to the radio.

-  You now have two write options. One is 16 Bytes, the other 128 Bytes.
The 16 Byte option will show only the call sign, while the 128 will show all fields.

-  Now select Write and get a cup of coffee. The 16Byte option will take approximately 5-6 minutes while 128Byte takes about 50 minutes.

When complete, the display will show the following.
