What's in the Package

The Nagoya 771 is notably the most popular handheld antenna update to date. This 15.6" comes with a small rubber spacer should your radio require one for a snug fit.

Over-the-Air Tests

On every handheld I've owned there was an immediate improvement over the radio's stock antenna on both transmit and receive whether on VHF/UHF. This is to be expected from an antenna that relies on being nearly a full quarter wavelength long with the proper matching.

Very Important

There is one critical item to be aware of when purchasing this antenna and that's the quality.

There are several counterfeit or 'fake' antennas on the market. They look authentic but the appearance doesn't make the antenna work. For that reason Nagoya has published a page on how to determine whether the antenna is authentic. Here is a link to that article.

How to identify a Fake Nagoya antenna

I definitely give it a 5 star rating.
