What is the Adhoc Mode?

The Adhoc mode gives you the ability to change Talk Groups instantly without going through the Menu.

There are two software (CPS) settings needed to initially setup this mode on the 6X2. Once it's set, it's Dial and Go.

Step 1

- Go to the  Optional Settings / Digital Functions  tab.
- Set the  Hold Times  to Unlimited / Indefinite.

This sets the amount of time your newly selected TG will remain active before returning to the original TG. When set to Unlimited / Indefinite, it will remain active until you physically change the channel.

Step 2

- Go to the  Optional Settings / Key Function  tab.
- Assign one of your programmable keys to 'Dial'

The Adhoc Mode can also be activated by a Long Press of the Zero (0) key on the keypad.

To change Talk Groups on the fly:

- Select a channel that is on the desired Time Slot
- Press the 'Dial' key (or Long Press '0')
'Group ID' will appear on the screen
- Enter the desired TG number
- Press the PTT key

That's all there is to it.
Your 6X2 will remain on that TG until you change channels.

Enjoy your new Toy.
