Frequency Mode vs. Channel Mode

These two modes have different functions and often confused.

Frequency Mode - Used for a temporary frequency assignment, such as a test frequency or quick field programming if permitted.

Channel Mode - Used for selecting preprogrammed channels.

All programming MUST be initially done in the Frequency Mode only. From there you have the option of assigning the entered data to a specific channel for later access in the Channel Mode if desired.

Note: Always use the UP/DOWN Arrows    when entering MENU options. Do Not enter from the numeric keypad.

Setting a Repeater Offset
Only needed if repeaters are to be programmed

This only needs to done once if the offset doesn't change.
This example is for a  5 MHz offset

MENU      22  (RPTSET)
MENU
Enter offset amount   (5 MHz = 05000)
MENU saves the frequency offset
V/M
Saves selection
