TYT Code Plug Editor

I use this software and have had very few issues. As with any beta software, use at your own risk. I can not be responsible for any issues resulting from its use.

NOTE: I did find the software is great for adding channels and sorting existing channels and groups, and cut/paste. However, where you need to pay attention is when you add or delete contacts. I did notice that this could shift the TX Contact in your channel list off by one.

Always make a copy of your code plug before making changes, and verify the new code plug when done.

NOTE: TYT Code Plug Editor is a work in progress. Check back for periodic updates.

What is the Code Plug Editor?
The Code Plug Editor adds functions such as Cut and Paste, Sorting, Sequencing, Inserting, etc to your current TYT code plug. Originally referred to as the MD380 CPE, it has grown to accommodate multiple TYT radios, including both standard and GPS versions.

Recent updates now include direct Read and Write directly to the radio.

Our thanks to Cathy, G6AMU, for her contribution to the ham radio community.

The following appears in the ReadMe.txt file:
This program is a stand alone .exe so I haven't taken the time to create an installer for it.

Just extract the main .exe file to wherever you fancy and run it.

1) BEFORE doing ANYTHING else, make sure, that you have a backup copy, of your radios original, and current, code plugs .. and keep them safe.

2) Probably best not to rely on this software as it's purely beta, for the time being at least.

READ THIS ! ...
If the file extension of the program file in this archive is .xxx, then you need to rename it back to .exe after extraction before trying to run it.

I do this because the email servers tend not to allow .exe files to be sent whether they be on their own or within archive files such as .zip .rar etc.
