What's in the Package
The Nagoya 702 is a Dual Band 1/4 wavelength antenna specifically designed for VHF and the Ham portion of the 220MHz band.
If you have a Baofeng/Pofung UV82X, or any transceiver operating the VHF/220 band, you were pretty much limited to the antenna Included with the radio.

I purchased my UV82X specifically for its 220MHz capability, but as I expected, with the stock antenna it worked fine on 2m, but moderately adequate on the 220 band. I'm located 25 miles from the nearest repeater and need all the help I can get.

Over-the-Air Tests

The OTA tests were made was between the stock antenna and the NA 702. With the stock antenna, my signal was noisy at best. On the air tests with the NA 702 were excellent. Signals went to nearly full quieting and I was able to now connect with two additional repeaters in my area. A very noticeable difference.

Helically wound 'rubber duck' antennas can do a good job, but nothing can beat a full length antenna.  The Nagoya NA 702 is a true quarter wave specifically designed for 220 operation. 11.5 inches long, dual band, and cut to frequency with no compromise. It works well with any 220MHz transceiver utilizing an SMA Female connection.

If you want peak performance from your 220MHz transceiver, you need to give this one a try.

I definitely give it a 5 star rating.
