Manual Programming

   UV-82

Frequency Mode vs. Channel Mode
These two modes have different functions and often confused.

Frequency Mode - Used for a temporary frequency assignment, such as a test frequency or quick field programming.

Channel Mode - Used for selecting preprogrammed channels.

All programming
MUST be done in the Frequency Mode only. From there you have the option of assigning the entered data to a specific channel for later access in the Channel Mode if desired.

This UV82 is certified for GMRS. Additional transmit channels cannot be entered into its memory.
