INITIAL SETUP
1.
Plug cable into the USB/Com Port.
2.
Click on Setting / Communication Port
3. Select the Com Port assigned to cable (1-8)
If you are unable to identify your Com Port
Run
FindComPort.exe
FindComPort.zip |
1.
Perform Read from Radio.
2. Save this file as Recovery File. This will create an initial template
that can be used as a
restoration file if required at a later date.
3. Setting / Model Information
= UHF4 [400-470MHz]
4. Add desired frequencies to the spreadsheet.
5.
Perform a Write to Radio. |
Recommended starting configuration
SPECIAL NOTE: 470-490MHz
There are two known models of the BF-888S.
Running the Version 1.05 software above, the Older version is capable of being set to either the
400-470MHz or 470-490MHz range and programmed
accordingly.
The Newer version can only be set to the 400-470MHz
range, however, it includes a Beat Shift or Scrambler
function.
To determine which version you have:
a) Remove the battery.
b) View the upper left corner of radio along the upper edge.
c) Blue "K" sticker = Older version. Green "UPDATE" = Newer
Check your country's regulations regarding the use of these
frequencies and scrambled transmissions.
